“Camilleri Wines’ sponsorship of a local band’s music tour is a first for the winery but not a new thing when it comes to supporting local music,” outlined Claudio Camilleri, Head Sales and Marketing of Camilleri Wines. “We have already supported Ira Losco when last year she launched her successful dvd however, our biggest connection with local music is the annual support we lend to the popular BJ’s marathon. Nonetheless, through this new direct collaboration with a local band we are taking our commitment towards local music and talent a step further and we are eager to watch Bitterside perform their latest songs in front of a live audience,” added Claudio Camilleri.
“We are delighted with Camilleri Wines’ support to Bitterside especially at this very important stage when we are launching our much anticipated second album,” said a spokesperson for the band. “This summer tour spread over a month and a half will be the ideal opportunity to meet with our fans and to promote our newest album Underrated which we will be officially launching on Thursday 29th May at Hard Rock Café in Baystreet.”
The ten-track album is ushered with the single “A Selfish Cry”, an acoustic song which gives a fresh feel the band’s new musical direction. “The acoustic sound of this track will be applied to all our songs throughout this tour as we will be performing our set list in unplugged version. Each acoustic night will be more than just a concert. It will be a celebration together with our fans that believed in us and carried us through. Therefore, having Camilleri Wines on board with some of its exquisite range of wines makes of this tour, an even more anticipated one,” concluded the band’s spokesperson.
